The Excel show in London last year must have featured dozens of companies that supply couches and equipment. There were heated couches, adjustable height couches, wooden couches but there seemed to be none that matched all our requirements. Until we met Leanne at the Carlton Group display area. Straight away she showed us the SOWOOD wooden couch, fully adjustable with headrest, armrests and it was heated! It was finished in ivory and looked magnificent. We knew straight away that this would be the right couch so ordered 6!
As the salon was being extended and refurbished Leanne and her team arranged a staggered delivery. This meant that as soon as the ‘new’ rooms were ready the therapists could make full use of the new couches. The therapists loved them. They found them easy to operate with a seemingly infinite arrangement of positions. The heated section proved a ‘wow’ with our clients who enjoyed the extra comfort during treatments. Leanne and the team were always available for advice and nothing seemed too much of a problem. Our electrical technicians visited the showroom and were able to discuss their plans to fit a ‘socket power pack’ underneath each couch. This enabled us to connect electrical equipment to the couch area without cables trailing across the floor.
And a year on? The couches still look brand new and Leanne still keeps in touch. Carlton have become an important part of our salon. Well done, Carlton.

I would like to thank you for a fantastic opportunity in selecting me to be a finalist in this year’s competition.
It was a wonderful experience meeting you all and coming to Brighton . You all have such a fantastic relationship that I can only wish I am able to achieve half in my career. You all seem committed and loyal to the cause of Carlton , which must be one of the reasons for the continued success of the company.
I have been truly inspired by your company and your achievements with the machines and products.
I can only say that winning the competition has certainly confirmed that determination, passion and hard work does produce results, sometimes beyond your expectations. I tend to set a high goal for myself and will be the first to admit that I can be hard on myself, but winning the competition this year has definitely given me encouragement and confirmation that I have chosen a career that I can excel in. Also the calibre of the finalist showed me that I cannot afford to lower my standards if I want to progress within the industry.
You have recognised my hard work and extra nights at college practising and carrying out the case studies (you really made us work for this competition!!!), and for this I give a big thank-you. I now have clients at college wanting to be treated by “the therapist who won the award “.
It is a great honour to have Carlton, an established and respected company and a leader in the beauty industry, acknowledge students who truly enjoy the profession and want to surpass the normal expectations of a Beauty Therapist, once again I thank you for this recognition.

SEBTA 2008
This is the second year we have entered this competition and offered this great experience and opportunity to our students. This is a unique experience for students to be involved in facial electrotherapy. Students benefit greatly from the focus of the case study work and unlike any other competition are given initial credit for a written project. Fabulous prizes offer a great incentive and motivate students to reach their full potential. We are looking forward to SEBTA 2009!

In the last 12 months, I have had the chance to complete 2 projects using some Carlton Professional (Matfen Hall and The Lanesborough Hotel). It is nice to be able to simplify the selection by selecting from one company without cutting down on quality. Since I found pretty much everything under one roof together with expert advice from the team at Carlton and good support, I am enjoying the relationship. I also find a good selection and choice for the various projects that I work on. It is almost impossible to always use the same furniture, as budget is always different and changing while you go along.

Robson has been working with Carlton Group for 30 years, ever since we started supplying Guinot treatments and products to salons and therapists in the UK and Ireland. It has designed and made trolleys to fit the original Cathiodermie machine. Carlton also supplied all the equipment in our Ascot training school and we recommend them to our Guinot salons. We’ve refurbished two Guinot treatment rooms at Harvey Nichols in London and used Carlton Couches.
